How much is my session fee and what does it cover?
Family portrait session fees start at $175 and includes everything with the exception of prints.
Listed below is everything included in your session fee:
45 minutes to 1 hr.  (beach sessions may run longer)
Online viewing session (Zoom) to select your collections and/or products.
Premium retouching on all chosen images.
Web images to share on social media.

What should we wear to our family session?

Sometimes wearing the same color can look dated in family portraits, so I tell people to coordinate two or three different colors on groups of people.  Please keep in mind that portraits taken away from a beach session can involve a lot of greenery in the area, so we suggest you stay away from green clothing, as it competes too much with the surroundings.

How long is the session?

Sessions take anywhere from one hour to an hour and half.

 

When is the best time of day to schedule our family session?

Light is best later in the day closer to sunset.  However if you have little ones it is best to make sure they are rested and we choose a time of day that works best for their eating and sleeping schedules.  If we have to choose a time of day where it is still high sun, we can always choose a location that has well lit, shaded areas.

 

Where do you take the pictures?

For newborns we would like you to come to our studio here in Bedford.  We have a perfectly lit room for natural light photos so we don't have to use flash on newborns.  We have a special heater to keep your newborn nice and warm and we also provide privacy for breast feeding mothers.

 

For family sessions we take the majority of the pictures in the Bedford/Billerica area, however, if you have a favorite spot, we will come to you.  There is an added fee for us to travel depending on location.  Just give us a call and we can give you all the details.  

 

What happens if it rains or is windy?

We simply reschedule your session. It happens all the time, because let's face it, we live in New England!

 

How will I know when my images are ready and where do I find them?

Images will be ready anywhere from 10 to 15 business days after your session.  You will receive an e-mail from us to set up an online ordering session with our Office Manager.  We ask that all deciding parties be present for the call as you will be placing your order during this appointment.   

 

Will you help me through the process of picking my images for print?

Absolutely.  We have a large-screen monitor and well-thought-out system to help you pick just the right images. We will show you what your final images will look like and show you the best crops for your portrait selections. We also have all kinds of framing options and products for you to check out.  

 

Can I use my chosen images on social media sites?

We are proud to let our customers know that this is a free service and we give you all of the images you purchased fully edited and ready to share on social media.  We will simply send you a Drop Box link and you will have them immediately.  Please note, however, that these images are not suitable for printing.  However, we do have collections where you can purchase the digital images with a copyright release.
