FAQ: SENIOR PORTRAITS
How do I book my session?
The best way to book your senior portrait session is to fill out the "Senior Session Request Form" on the home page of this website.
We will get back to you within two business days via email to help you set up your session and answer any questions you may have. Below is a great tool of frequently asked questions we suggest you read before your session.
Do I have to use my school's designated photographer, or do I have a choice?
The reason I address this early on is that it is the most commonly asked question. And the answer is if you are in a public school system you can choose whatever photographer you like. Below is the law mandated by the State of Massachusetts. We also guarantee submission of your yearbook image to your school! If you go to a private school, many times students will use the designated photographer for their yearbook and hire another photographer of their choice for their personal portraits.
"The Department of the Attorney General has declared that public schools prohibiting students from using a nonofficial photographer to produce their senior portraits is in violation of the Massachusetts Antitrust Act, General Law Chapter 93, Section 4."
How much is my session fee and what does it cover?

What should I wear?
You are allowed three (3) outfit changes at no additional charge! Take advantage of this and change up the colors! It really does make a difference when you look at your final edited images. It gives you more of a variety to choose from when you go to select your yearbook image and prints. If we are shooting your session away from the beach often we will be on the grass,
so please try to avoid the color green. During shooting season the green grass and trees are just too much to compete with. Please also AVOID NEON colors, as they do not photograph well at all and affect skin tones. We also suggest girls wear a cammie so you can change at the shooting locations if needed.
How long is the session?
Local sessions take about 30 minutes, and beach sessions take one hour to an hour and a half. We like to let people know that we book beach sessions with other clients due to the short season and will photograph up to three seniors at a time.
Where do you take the pictures?
We take the majority of the pictures at the Veteran's Park in Bedford, MA right across the street from the Marshalls Shopping Plaza. The park is watered and maintained year round and creates a beautiful, manicured look in your portraits. We also do sessions at the Job Lane Farm Museum in Bedford, MA where there is a barn and beautiful gardens. Beach sessions are done in Seabrook, NH and we have arranged for parking. We only schedule a limited amount of beach sessions, so please contact us as early as possible to schedule your summer beach session. When picking your own local session please be aware that there is a $55 up charge to travel from our designated local location.
When is the best time of day to schedule my session?
Light is best later in the day and closer to sunset, which is why we do all our sessions no earlier than 3:00 in the afternoon.
What happens if it rains or is windy?
We simply reschedule your session. It happens all the time, because let's face it, we live in New England!
OMG, what if I wake up and have a pimple? Then what?????
Don't worry about it! We have Photoshop! However, if you feel you need to reschedule for any reason, please call us as early as possible so that we can reschedule your session date.
How will I know when my images are ready for viewing and where do I find them?
Your images will be available for viewing via a link and password within 14 business days.
Who delivers my yearbook image to the school?
WE DO! We guarantee your portrait will be in your yearbook. All you have to do is let us know which image you want when you order your prints and your job is done. The yearbook submission is included in your print order.
Can I use my chosen images on social media sites?
We are proud to let our customers know that this is a free service and we give you all of the images you purchased for use on social media sites. They are fully edited and ready to share on social media. They will come to you in an e-mail with a Drop Box link. From there it is easy. Just upload them to your computer and share your portraits to your heart's content. Please note, however, that these images are not suitable for printing. We do have packages that include the high resolution images for your personal use if you so decide to purchase them.
Is it true you will photograph my entire family at no additional cost if I elect to do so?
Absolutely! We encourage it! If you were to book your family sessions separately our sessions start at $175, so take advantage and bring the whole family. @Seniors, bring your siblings to surprise your parents for the holidays! If you can get the troops together take advantage and get that family portrait you've been meaning to get for the past 18 years!
Can I take friends with me as well to get a picture?
Again, absolutely! We love throwing your friends into the mix. It is an image you will treasure for a lifetime!
